A brief thought about where we find peace

Hello bloggers.

It occurs to me that when it comes to peace, sometimes we don’t see the forest for the trees.  We can talk about peace till we’re blue in the face, but it really comes down to the fact that we should honor and respect and love what we have, and try to build on that.  Heralding the peace that’s around us, really builds us up rather than accentuating the deficiencies that we see in our news programs and magazines.

The great lyric:  “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me,” probably should also say:  “Let me look around and see it myself.”

I know one of my deficiencies, which I try to work on all the time, is the question of looking at life as the glass half-empty, as opposed to half-full.  Sometimes I think I read too many bad reports and watch too much news, although most of the time I think of myself as the kid who keeps digging through the pile of shit saying, “There’s got to be a pony in here somewhere!”
