What started as a US Congressional mandate to aid orphans of 9/11, the Matt Lamb Umbrellas for Peace initiative has grown into a worldwide peace movement:

The Umbrellas for Peace project aims to embed the message of
peace, tolerance, understanding, hope and love throughout the world. Its goal is to protect against aggression and war by generating peaceful intercultural and multilateral communications.
Matt Lamb works tirelessly with children and teenagers throughout the world who paint colorful umbrellas. Computers, video games and electronic devices are left behind, this is about hands-on creativity and an introduction to the arts. Most Umbrella workshops end in a colorful parade with Matt leading the way towards peace, tolerance, understanding, hope and love.

Donations
The Lamb Umbrella's for Peace started as a project to aid children who lost family members in the September 11 catastrophe. Since then, Lamb Umbrella's For Peace has celebrated in 16 countries and has had over 500,000 children paint umbrellas. This project has been recognized by the European Parliament and the European Commission.
It is through this endeavor that we hope to reach millions more children and adults helping each one manifest peace in their worlds.
